Blue agriculture refers to marine agricultural production activities in water bodies. Specifically, it includes all the shrimp, shell, algae and fish breeding industries in pools and sinks in offshore and shallow seas, and intertidal and supratidal zones. Since China’s ocean, shoal and inland waters as well as low saline lands are rich in fish resources, the development of blue agriculture has become a major driving power in the strategic adjustment of the agriculture and rural economic structure.
