Tea House, a three-screen play, is one of the representative works authored by Lao She, a Chinese dramatist finished in 1957, which is a classic works in the Chinese contemporary history of play. With a large tea house for the gathering for people of different social status in the old Beijing towns as epitome of the whole society, it shows the social scene and the different fates of the figures in different classes in Beijing during the 50 years from the late Qing Dynasty to the end of the War against Japanese Aggression, and revealed the historical destiny of China in that period.
