The Postgraduate Examination, short for National Postgraduate Admission Examination, commonly called “Kaoyan”, requires test takers to have obtained academic qualifications from undergraduate programs or higher levels. Those who pass the examination and are enrolled into relevant universities need to go through full-time studies to claim academic credits and need to successfully defend their dissertations before being awarded nationally recognized graduation certificates and postgraduate degree certificates.
