《告台湾同胞书》

《告台湾同胞书》为中华人民共和国成立后政府、民主党派、全国人民代表大会等组织机构对台湾发表的公开信，被视为是中央政府对台湾的政策文件，首次发表时间为1950年2月28日，由台湾民主自治同盟所发表，首次提出要完成解放台湾的任务。其在中国历史上总共发表五次。其中，以1979年1月1日由中华人民共和国全国人民代表大会常务委员会发表的最为著名，其内容主要为商讨结束两岸军事对峙状态、并提出两岸三通、扩大两岸的交流。

Message to Compatriots in Taiwan

The Message to Compatriots in Taiwan is an open letter issued by the Central Government of the PRC, democratic parties and the National People's Congress to Taiwan after the founding of the People's Republic of China. It is regarded as the central government's policy document for Taiwan. It was first published in February 28,1950, issued by the Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League, the first to propose to complete the task of liberating Taiwan. It was published five times in Chinese history. Among them, the one published on January 1, 1979 by the National People's Congress is the most famous. It is mainly about ending cross-strait military confrontation, opening three links between Taiwan and the mainland, and expanding cross-strait exchanges.
