婚奴

“婚奴”是指因结婚的巨额花费(房子、婚宴等)而造成生活陷入困境的人。“婚奴 ”这个词，是从“房奴”借鉴来的。 这两个词有点类似。 中国人结婚不怕花钱。不包括买车买房，仅仅是筹办婚礼，人们就愿意拿出大约1/3的积蓄。现在年轻人由于攀比心理，导致结婚费用越来越高，其实大多数都不是由他们埋单，而是由双方家庭出钱，尤其是现在都市里独生子女结婚，更是由双方家庭全力支持。

A “marriage slave” refers to someone who has financial trouble after spending a lot of money to get married whether it be buying a house, paying for the wedding ceremony, etc. The term “marriage slave” is borrowed from the term “mortgage slave” since they are similar predicaments. Chinese people are not afraid of spending up to one third of their savings on weddings reserving the rest of their money to buy a car or house. Due to the competitive material nature of today’s youth, the wedding costs are increasing. Yet, the couple’s families usually cover the costs for the couple, especially if both children are from single-child households in the city.
