《汉书》

《汉书》，又称《前汉书》，由中国东汉时期的历史学家班固(32年—92年)编撰，是中国第一部纪传体断代史，也是“二十四史”之一。《汉书》全书主要记述了从西汉的汉高祖元年(公元前206年)到新朝的王莽地皇四年(23年)之间230年的史事，包括西汉帝王的事迹、当时的社会现象、各类人物的生平以及少数民族历史等。

History of the Western Han

History of the Western Han, or History of the Former Han, one of the 24 histories and the first biographic history of dynasties in China authored by Ban Gu (32-92), a historian in the Eastern Han Dynasty. It mainly records a history of 230 years from the first year of Emperor Gaozu of the Western Han Dynasty (206BC) to the fourth year of Dihuang (Wang Mang) (23), including the stories of the emperor of the Western Han Dynasty, social phenomena, profile about various kinds of figures and the histories of the ethnic minorities.
