一、阅读理解

对于SAT写作文章的阅读理解，是一个很重要的部分。不过由于新SAT文章不短，因此第一步中，读懂文章，分段落，找修辞手法，要更加有效率。推荐这样一种阅读方式：Title-Assignment-Article。

1.读题目，通过题目可以对文章内容作一个基本定位。

2.读文章后面的方框，也叫assignment,里面会告诉我们本文的中心论点。中心论点确定了，对内容理解上一般就不会跑偏，因为文中所有文字毫无疑问是为论点服务的。

3.读正文，分析作者是如何展开及证明本人论点的。

二、写好开头

好的开始是成功的一半，用在SAT写作中依然适用。因此在SAT写作学习中，同学们对于开头一定要多加重视。其实大家在逐渐接触到新SAT写作考试后，慢慢会发现其实新SAT写作部分也是有套路的，也是可以掌握SAT写作经验的，下面就对开头如何写，推荐一种方法：作者写作意图+文章主旨+写作手法罗列。

1.介绍作者的写作意图;

Introduce the writer's intention of this argument;

2.简述文章主旨，最好在写作中能提及作者和文章标题;

Brief the main idea of the passage(Better to mention author and title of the passage in the essay;

3.罗列作者在论证主题时，最相关的论据/理由/最能体现体裁或者最具有说服力的元素;

List the most relevant evidence/reasoning/stylistic or persuasive elements the writer uses to support his or her argument.

三、按文章逻辑顺序分析写作手法

每段都有一句主旨中心句，以及一段详细的论证。

1.引用文章中的论证内容用于自己的写作;

Cite the device or tool you are going to elaborate in the paragraph;

2.在写作中解释它是什么，它的作用以及文中它有何种意义;

Explain what it is in the essay and what meaning or idea it carries;

3.从逻辑层面，分析该手法对文章的影响;

Analyze the effect on essay in terms of appealing to reason;

4.从情感层面，分析该手法对读者的影响。

Analyze the effect on readers in terms of appealing to emotion.

四、重述文章主旨+主题

SAT写作不需要体现深刻内涵的想法，我们只需要能用自己的话语转述如下内容：

1.阅读文章的中心思想;

The main idea of the passage;

2.作者运用的论证手法;

The tools the writer uses to make his or her argument persuasive;

3.如果时间有余，还可以再罗列一下作者采用该论证手法的目的及其使用效果。

If time allows, the intention of the writer and the effects of the tools employed.
