Also known as state intervention, macro-regulation is the overall management bythe government of the national economy. It is the economic function of the Central Government. It involves the overall adjustment and control of the social economy by the state in economic operations in order to promote market development and to standardize market operations. It is also the process in which adjustment measures and mechanisms are used to optimize allocation of resources, and foster a favorable macro environment for the operation of the micro economy to ensure normal operations and balanced development of the market economy.
