伤寒病人Typhoid Patients

Jonathan W. A final example of the need for creativity to achieve progress is through my personal experience working with typhoid patients in Southeast Asia last summer. A few of my friends and I shadowed a team of UNICEF doctors that brought clean water to those villages especially hard hit by typhoid and ebola. Although there were limited supplies for each village that we visited, the team and the local villagers worked to find creative solutions to keeping the drinking water clean, such as building makeshift sewage systems as well as making treatment from the native plants in the area for afflicted patients. Through our fresh ideas and determination to keep the terrible diseases from spreading, hundreds of lives were saved and the village had enough working people to begin producing more than they ever had before. These small secluded populations were able to make progress despite receiving little government aid because of the innovative ideas that the UNICEF team and the villagers had created.
