Many people prefer to watch foreign films rather than locally produced films. Why could this be?

为什么人们更喜欢外国电影?政府应该支持本土电影吗?前雅思考官管这种题目叫“Two-Part Question”，并且建议大家这种文章要写成四段，每段具体内容：

1. Introduction: topic + general answer to both questions

2. Answer the first question

3. Answer the second question

4. Conclusion: paraphrase the answer you gave in the introduction

Introduction段可以只写两句，第1句引入主题，第二句表明立场。如：It is true that foreign films are more popular in many countries than domestically produced films. There could be several reasons why this is the case, and I believe that governments should promote local film-making by subsidizing the industry.

第二段和第三段为主体段落，建议大家每段各写五句话，写之前大家可以发散一下思维，简要列出每一句的论据分别写什么。下面是前雅思考官给出的每段的大纲：

First main paragraph: Why could this be?

1. Topic sentence - several reasons

2. First reason - budgets for action, special effects, spectacular locations

Second main paragraph: Should governments give financial support?

4. Explain consequences - would lead to employment, income, tourism

5. Example - invent an example about your country!

想好这五点之后，就很容易把这五句话串连成一个段落了，来看看前雅思考官是如何将大纲中的词汇短语转化成一个个完整的句子的：There are several reasons why many people find foreign films more enjoyable than the films produced in their own countries. Firstly, the established film industries in certain countries have huge budgets for action, special effects and to shoot scenes in spectacular locations. Hollywood blockbusters like‘Avatar’or the James Bond films are examples of such productions, and their global appeal is undeniable. Another reason why these big-budget films are so successful is that they often star the most famous actors and actresses, and they are made by the most accomplished producers and directors. The poor quality, low-budget filmmaking in many countries suffers in comparison.

结论段可以这样写：

In conclusion, I believe that increased financial support could help to raise the quality of locally made films and allow them to compete with the foreign productions that currently dominate the market.

我们可以看出：1，结论段是在改述Introduction段; 2，他在结论段中有改两个Part的顺序——先说Financial Support再说外国电影的流行。对于不知道结尾段落该写什么的同学，这两点可以是非常好的借鉴。
