在英文中，百分之六十的情况下“down to earth”和中文的“接地气”在意思上比较对应啦。Down to earth在英文中很多情况下都可以使用的，来看看down to earth到底怎么使用呢。

1. Down to earth描述一个人

当down to earth用来形容人的时候，通常都是形容在性格方面很接地气，形容人比较实在，不虚伪，不伪装，不高高在上，比较容易和其他人玩成一片。

Eg:

1) I am a very down to earth person. 我是一个很接地气的人。

2) 也可以形容一个人的性格很实在：

Eg: Catherine has got a down to earth personality. Catherine的性格很接地气。

2. Down to earth修饰一个地方

当Down to earth形容一个地方很接地气的时候，一般都是表达这个地方比较比较实惠，所以大多时候都是形容一家餐厅很大众化、价格很朴实。比如哈，a very down to earth restaurant（一家很接地气的餐厅）

Eg:

1) This is a very down to earth restaurant. 这是一家很接地气的餐厅。

2) Fine dining restaurants are usually not down to earth.

高级餐厅一般不怎么接地气。Fine dining restaurant：高级餐厅

也可以形容一个地方的气氛很轻松，Down to earth atmosphere：气氛很轻松（very relaxed）

Eg:

If you go to a museum or art gallery, it's probably not very down to earth. 如果你去博物馆或美术馆，它的气氛可能不是很接地气。

3. Down to earth形容一个人的态度

Down to earth形容态度很接地气

Eg:

1) I am a down to earth person.=I have a down to earth attitude.

我是个很接地气的人，也可以表示我有着很接地气的态度

2) We will probably get along very well with someone who has a down to earth attitude.

我们和这样接地气态度的人相处很舒服。

也可以形容幽默的风格很接地气：Down to earth sense of humor

Eg: Catherine has a down to earth sense of humor. Catherine幽默的风格很接地气。

4. Down to earth描述一件事情

一般Down to earth形容做事的方法很接地气

Down to earth approach：做事的方法很接地气

Eg:

Companies need a very down to earth approach to team building.

公司团建的方法也要很接地气。
