1. unassuming /‘ʌnə'sʊmɪŋ/ adj. 谦逊的;不装腔作势的;不招摇的

: not having or showing a desire to be noticed, praised

【小明说】源自动词assume 假定，承担，装腔作势;因此unassuming 就是不假定的*(即实事求是的)，不装腔作势的。
