Heated Match, Fair Play

Dear fellow students,

Good evening. Here comes the coverage of the final basketball match of our school league.

The match was held in the school stadium in the morning. One team was from the English Department, and the other from the Maths Department.

The game began at 8:30. All the players brought their potential into full play. Both teams took the lead by turns. The biggest margin was less than ten points. It was really the closest game I have ever watched. When there was 5 seconds left, the team from the English Department lagged narrowly behind by two points. At the last second, Li Qiang scored a three pointer and put the English team in lead by one point. The audience burst into thunderous applause and cheers. At last, the English team screwed a 75?74 win over the Maths team.

All of the players on both teams played marvelously, with the leading scorer Li Qiang. He scored 26 points, 10 of them in the decisive final quarter. Besides, he also snatched 9 rebounds. No wonder he was elected the MVP of the game.
